The height of the fireplace surround determines the fireplace’s overall appearance and proportions. Different surround heights allow it to complement the ceiling height, interior style and your individual preferences.

The configurator shows the surround heights available for each model. The available versions vary by model, so you can choose from solutions suitable for your fireplace.

Important information

For correct and safe operation, heated air must be able to escape continuously from inside the surround. For most versions, we therefore recommend leaving at least 30–40 cm of clear space between the top of the surround and the ceiling, allowing warm air to flow out freely. The exact arrangement must always follow the selected fireplace insert’s technical requirements and the surround design.

If you would like a floor-to-ceiling surround, please let us know at the start of the design process. With this arrangement, the open outlet above the surround cannot be used, so convection air must escape through ventilation openings in the front or sides of the fireplace.

A floor-to-ceiling fireplace also requires appropriate fire and heat protection insulation for the ceiling. This must be considered during the design process; these installations therefore always require individual technical design.
